What Does It Mean to Be an Early Childhood Professional?
In my opinion as an early childhood professional means a lot of different things. As an early childhood teacher parents leaves their precious gems in my hand to mold, shape, and create something wonderful in them. Therefore I am entrusting to take good care of them by nurturing, safe haven, and nutrition. Furthermore I will guide them to become life-long learners by modeling and facilitating the right behavior in front of them.
In addition, I help to develop the children from birth to eight years which are called foundational years and early years of life. To help early childhood children to develop the skills of emotional/social development, language/cognitive development, and physical consist of fine and gross motor development. According to John Locke, children are “blank slates”; which, means I have the opportunity to develop these young minds with exciting and current information that build character. Therefore early childhood children come to early childhood professional with an open mind that teachers can insert any type of knowledge inside of them. Furthermore children are little sponges too that can soak all the instructional information that teachers can provide. Therefore as a preschool teacher is one of the best professional one can hold.
